Casting details - Tales of the Jedi?
Tales of the Jedi - Casting details
Posted this afternoon details about a live action Star Wars project filming at Manhattan Beach, CA this summer mentioned in earlier post. The project code named Grammar Rodeo. Revealed the cast are all children, codename essentially means wild grammar school. The Lucasfilm holiday gift to employees this years has “Tales of the Jedi” listed as a new production.
The names can be coded or sometimes they are actually the names used on screen. Casting could be a combination of names or codes.
The cast listings:
Wyat: Age 11 (any ethnicity)
Wyatt yearns for great adventures, but finds his attention easily diverted. He wishes to be the hero in any situation he finds himself in. Wyatt is described as a series regular.
Ned: Age 11 (any ethnicity)
Ned is described as Wyatt’s bashful best friend. Ned is kind with a massive heart, but also tends to be a rules follower. That being said, Ned often finds himself pulled into Wyatt’s adventures. Ned is described as a series regular.
Faye: Age 12 Non-binary actor (any ethnicity)
Faye is described as rebellious and extroverted, but at 12 years old they already have a chip on their shoulder. Faye is described as a series regular.
Kylie: Age 12 Young Woman (any ethnicity)
Kylie is Faye’s best friend and is described as serious, intelligent, and keeps her emotions guarded, behind a wall. Kylie is also a series regular.
theilluminerdi.com also mentions they are casting “a man in his 30s to 40s as a series regular.” If these ar Jedi kids, maybe this man is their teacher?
If this is Tales of the Jedi, maybe it is like The Clone Wars series George Lucas and Dave Filoni wanted to do with Jedi younglings. That series was absorbed into a few episodes of The Clone Wars. But maybe this is a similar concept set during The High Republic?
