CHAPTER ONE
Once Tey Spade wanted to travel the world. Now, having been through four years of college, and having rented an apartment with his dog Rex, he was content to just live alone making his popular Star Wars themed streams on YouTube and Patreon and Twitch and playing The Old Republic with his online buddies, often streaming it. His old dreams of seeing the world seemed long gone.
Rex nuzzled up to him as he was making yet another rewatch reaction to The Phantom Menace, hoping Disney wouldn't copyright claim it this time. He pet him and scritched him under the chin.
His Ring doorbell chimed. He looked at his phone's Ring App. Some unfamiliar man was at the door. He paused his video to go answer.
He opened to him.
"Greetings, I'm looking for a Teyden Spade IV"
"That's me, " Tey said.
"I have two tickets to Venice, Italy for you. I will get someone to take care of your dog."
"Two? Why would I want to go to Venice? I have a job at University, handling their records. They need me there."
"You have a better job awaiting you in Venice. We'll explain on the way."
The Old desire to see the world rose up in Tey and he yielded. "When do I leave?" He said
"Right away. Pack light. Only take what you need and your laptop and a few personal mementos".
Swallowing down fear, trepidation and uncertainty, Tey hurried to pack.

CHAPTER TWO
Once packed, Tey went with the man into the back of a limousine. Inside, he was offered sparkling grapejuice, fine chicken cuisine and 10,000 dollar ice cream and an assortment of exotic cheeses. He sampled it all, and became full. He rode 50 miles to the major big city airport. He was ushered aboard a large private jet, where he was offered a suitcase full of 100 dollar bills and more good food. He took it, wondering what all this could mean. Then he saw Cutter. She was not quite short and not quite tall, with jet black hair down to the center of her back, olive skin and a modest dressclothes. She grinned, crossing her arms over her chest, and her teeth were white, straight and gorgeous. She strode over to Tey and parked herself beside him. "I'm Cutter," she said, extending her hand. Tey gave her an appropriate gentle handshake.
"I'm Teyden" he said, stammering.
"I've read your file" She said. We need to get the marriage thing out of the way quick so we'll be able to travel together appropriately."
"M-marriage?" But what about Bree-?"
"She was a two-timing liar. You're better off without her."
"What? Prove it."
And she did, and with photograhic and phone record evidence, hard evidence that could not have been falsified showed that his girlfriend Bree, who he was madly in love with, but had not yet went to bed with, was planning on saving that til marriage, was both a liar and a cheater.
"I can't BELIEVE her! Thanks Cutter!" Tey said, cheeks turning beet red. "Who am I marrying, anyway?"
"Me, of course."
Tey felt like he was walking in a dream. He had never met a more beautiful woman in all his life than Cutter.
"An appropriate RLDS wedding needs a feast and two witnesses, but there's plenty of people on this plane for all that" she continued. "There's three RLDS Elders on this plane I hired just for our vows."
"R-RLDS? I'm a Christian, not a Mormon." Tey said.
"I'm a Christian. You're a Believer now, but I'll teach you the way of God more fully." Cutter said.
"What does that mean?"
"You'll find out. Wedding's in 10 minutes. Reception and honeymoon on the plane in our private cabin and in Venice, then we get down to business."
"Business? What's that entail?"
"That's need-to-know, and right now you don't. I hope you packed your laptop."
"I did".
"Good. You'll be briefed in Venice."

CHAPTER THREE
She scurried out of the room.
Tey got out his laptop and went to MaraAndLuke4Ever fanfic and Diary boards and began pecking out an entry the way Brent Koivopolo does it on his journals.
5/14-- SUNDAY
Church was good.
Today I found out my girlfriend cheated on me. But I'm actually ten minutes away from getting married- to someone else. Her name is Cutter and she's beautiful and modest and sweet.
I'm on a plane headed to Venice. Someone is looking after Rex. I'm typing this on my laptop which two people insisted I pack. My soon to be wife is a Mormon, but I guess that's ok.
I have absolutely no idea what's going on. I rode in a limo on the way to the airport and was given the most extravagant foods to eat and a boatload of cash. I'll update you again later.
Tey had been the third person to start keeping a public Diary on Brent's Star Wars site, after Brent and Ashly Mainard Leigh, the eighteen year old college student in Minnesota that's constantly reviewing TV shows and other media in her Diary and blogging about the constantly changing moods of her dog Stewie. (He thought that to be a strange name for a dog.) He read with great interest Ashly's Ken and Barbie Dreamhouse fanfics. She was very creative. She wasn't a huge Star Wars fan, but she thought Brent's Humorous Versions were hilarious, and so did he.
A man in a suit calmly strode into the room. "Ok, big stuff. Time for the wedding. This way, please."
Tey saved the changes on his Journal, exed out of the website window, then followed the big dark-haired man into the wedding room.
He stood on the right, her on the left. It was perfect. The ceremony was simple. They didn't even kiss at the end. They were wed. Then they both went to a side table to sign a wedding contract and license. They were then issued a marriage certificate. She grabbed his hand and they hurried into their cabin to consummate their vows. Four hours later, Tey was on his laptop in his journal describing in his Diary in the tamest words possible, the best experience of his life.
Meanwhile Cutter was tapping away on her laptop, at the same time watching one of the Patreon Star Wars full reactions Teyden had made of The Last Jedi, and Tey had not suggested it to her. Hearing her watching it made Tey feel special, like what he did mattered to her. She wore a Star Wars Tee Shirt and black pants. He was so glad that she was a Star Wars fan like him. He was also glad that she didn't wear make-up or perfume.
After Tey saved his changes, he walked nonchalantly over to where his newlywed wife was, and massaged her shoulders, watching her screen. "Do you mind if I watch you, honey?"
Cutter smiled. "It can't hurt you to see these classified files. They're not too sensitive for your level of clearance."
"And what's my level of clearance?"
"Level 2-B. That's by virtue of being my husband."
"That's....great, I think."
"It is, don't worry. I'm Level 88-Z"
"How many levels are there?"
"I am not allowed to know. At least 200."
"Wow. What kind of spywork are we doing? Is it dangerous?"
"We're not spies."
"Then what are we?"
"Knowledgeable and very rich paper pushers who do an awful lot of travelling and have completely non dangerous adventures of a different kind."
"So I don't get a gun or a lot of gadgets?"
"No gadgets that can do anyone any harm, but there's plenty of gadgets we use in our trade. I'll tell you more in Venice."
"Can I show you a really cool website?"
"Maybe later."
"Do you keep a Diary?"
"Yes"
"Are you allowed to share any of it with the world?"
"Sounds interesting. I'd be able to share..certain parts. Why, is your site a Diary keeping site?"
"It's not my site. I found it on a search for a good Star Wars ProBoards site and I was hooked. It's awesome looking."
"Like I said, maybe later honeybabe, I'm busy at the moment. You can watch until I start looking at something you're not allowed to see."
"Fair enough."
The rest of the long plane ride was relatively uneventful.
In Venice, long steamy lovemaking was followed by romantic dinners and luncheons and sumptuous breakfasts and exhilarating Gondola rides down the watery streets.
On the sixth day in Venice, Teyden was sat down in a Venice office and finally briefed. They were a Time Travel and World Travel Agency, that, rather than regulated time travel, kept tabs on Time Travelers, and had a file on every man, woman, boy and girl who had ever traveled through time by whatever means, from the dawn of time until now. Their headquarters were in the Swiss Alps, with another sub-HQ in Shambhala, and another major office in Texas, and two in Dubai, UAE, and finally a major center in North Pole, Alaska, with hundreds of thousands of other major and minor offices worldwide, and two on the Moon, one on Mars, and three on Pluto.
When all this was told to Tey, he said he was allowed to say ALL that in his public Diary, because it was time the world knew the truth, that time travel, both into the past and into the future, was a thing. He looked over at his wife, who displayed a wide grin.
After the briefing, they went to the library of Venice, where they read a whole bunch of foreign books, then continued their honeymoon for many, many days.

CHAPTER FOUR
By the 100'th Day of the Honeymoon, Tey had been trained on all the basic equipment and tools of the trade and had reached Clearance Level 60-O. They had never left present day Venice. Tey had instead practiced in the Time travel Simulator Holodeck until now. By Day 200, he was on Clearance Level 72-A. His wife had advanced to Clearance Level 100-B.
One day, while they were in bed, Tey asked Cutter, "What kind of organization are we?"
Cutter replied. "You know. We keep tabs on the world's Time travelers."
"But WHY do we do what we do? What's the point?"
She thought. "We're like a census bureau. We keep records. We're good at what we do."
"Which agencies rely on our expertise? Timeline regulators?"
"I don't know and I don't have enough clearance to find that out. It's best not to think about it, honey. I don't lose any sleep over it."
"What if the ones who rely on our work have ill intentions?" Tey said. "Think about it. What if the Agencies that rely on our work try to suppress time travel, maybe even hunt down Time Travelers who aren't us; jail them; kill them; or worse....torture them for information. What if at high enough clearance here, some Agents get their intel from the results of that torture?"
He looked her in the eyes, which went wide with shock as she considered it.
"And" he continued, "What would we do about it if such were the case?"
"We" Cutter said, "Are going to try to get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow. It will be our first day traveling in time together. I have before, many times, but I was alone, so alone. Now we have each other." Then she dropped off to sleep.
Tey couldn't sleep that night.

CHAPTER FIVE
Over the course of their honeymoon, Cutter had taught Tey about her religion and Tey had read the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Inspired Version. But he still wasn't 100% convinced her RLDS religion was the truth. It felt like something was still missing. But he did allow himself to get baptized and confirmed by a High Priest of the RLDS faith who was with them. He had no doubt that the Book of Mormon was true, nor the IV or DC. That was not where his qualms were.
Now, they prepared for their first time jump together, and they were heading to 1898 in Spain, where there was a little office in a government building, so secretive no one knew about it.
When they got there it was April, 1898. The Spanish-American War was about to begin. It was April 30, 1898. Tomorrow would be the beginning of the Battle of Manila Bay in the Phillipines. According to their records, a lot of people were time jumping to this year to collect data on the Spanish America War or to witness it. Both Cutter and Tey could speak Native Spanish fluently. Cutter led Tey and showed him the ropes on what to do. They did cooperate with other agencies, Tey found out, but to Tey's knowledge, none of them attempted to regulate time travel at all. It was 90% paperwork and 10% legwork but it was all a whole lot of fun. The next day they got to witness firsthand the Battle of Manilla Bay, able to stay safely out of danger because of advanced gadgetry. Ten days of paperwork later, they returned to 2023.
