01/28- FRIDAY DAY 204
Since feedback is in and many of you do not participate in this site because I put religious stuff in it, I have now relegated all religious things to the bottom of the site, where they may be ignored if you so wish.-Brent

DAY 293 - April 25, 2022 CE
Well, I'm still not done typing Eppy 17, but it is completed, Constant Reader. In case y'all don't know, I wrote the Opening Tile Crawl of Eppy 18 and tied up all the loose ends in the Eppy III HV, the story to be continued by you guys and maybe me stepping in later. Hey, check out my new one sentence or paragraph challenge over in the 'Games and fun' section.
The following dialogue should clarify the reasons for all my earlier complaints. Love and gratitude to ProBoards Staff @kami and to God for this and for answering my prayers! After I knew all the facts, I prayed for God to make my website successful and instantly I was up to TWO new signups I did not solicit, or at least one (I think, or at least one solicited signup and a post and a potential new Admin today that will possibly help me advertise, come to think of it, or at least I hope). Praise God! Here is the dialogue:

My coworker told me that he had typed seven minutes' worth of material on my website. There are areas on my website where you don't have to be a member to post, and he claims he posted there. Now, he may have forgotten to hit post or save changes, but I don't know. My site is about a year old and it seems that people who say they will post or promise to never do, and people tell me they will spread it by word of mouth but though I get lots of daily site visits (but my analytics say thousands daily) I don't get to see any of the signups or postings and I'm the Administrator. Now this could be a misperception on my part. Maybe no one but my close friends and associates, totaling no more than 19 besides myself in a year, has signed up at all, sharing less than seven posts all-time between them, but I doubt it because some of my threads have 10, 000, 5,000, 500, 200 views and it is highly unlikely that people everywhere from all walks of life would universally avoid signing up and posting. It makes no sense. I think that because my coworker told me that he posted and I cannot see it anywhere that gives me a big clue. Again, maybe I am wrong and I hope I am.
Okay, I'm fairly certain that he just forgot to hit Create Post now, so a new question. My friend told me that because there are so many Star Wars niches, it could literally take my site a thousand years to get it off the ground. But how could that be when thousands are viewing my site? What makes them all universally averse to starting or taking part in any discussions or posting anything there? Is this normal for every discussion board creator? Forgive my double post. It's an afterthought and whoeever invented thje no double posting rule didn't know about afterthoughts or was too cruel and rigid to care.

Gently, if this is your forum there is no section of it that is inaccessible to you except for the personal messages (PMs) of other users. If you do not see any registrations or posts allegedly made by certain members, they do not exist.
You can check your admin panel to verify as well; if you click on the admin button, then hover over the "security" option in the top-right menu and select "security log", you'll see a log of actions made on your forum by all members. Not all actions are logged, but you can see when members sign up and are deleted using a filter at the top right of the log — I think you'll find that signups are not as robust as you believe they ought to be.
While you can't see when new threads or posts are created in the security log, you can see if they were moved by a user with move thread / post powers or if they were deleted. If the alleged post or thread doesn't exist on the forum (you can also check the user's post history by visiting their profile) and it hasn't been moved or deleted, then it was never made.
The traffic on your forum appears to be predominantly guest traffic — this doesn't always mean real individuals, though. I suspect a majority of these are actually search engine bots. You have a lot of content that has popular search terms on it, so it's very likely that search engine bots visit regularly to catalogue your searchable content.
Additionally, thread and board views are not unique. This means that view counts will increment every time the thread or board is loaded: one person visiting or refreshing a thread 200 times will increment the count the same as 200 people / bots visiting the thread one time each. Viewcounts are not an accurate indicator of any activity other than the number of times the server has received a request to load that content.
I hope this is helpful information. As gently as possible, it is far more likely that folks have simply not participated / joined your forum than it is that the software is broken in your forum individually, and you can verify this by simply checking the security log. In the case of the person claiming to have made a "seven minute post" if you cannot find that post in their post history and the security log has not shown it as deleted, then they either never successfully sent the post, or they're telling a fib.
Best of luck, let us know if you need additional assistance.
An edit for your edit: your friend is mostly correct. I don't know about a thousand years, but unless you catch lightning in a bottle you're competing with decades worth of online fan content for this fandom. Unless you are wealthy or a corporation, the only real method is to simply keep plugging along. Visit the Discussion board here to get ideas, read the "Understanding SEO" article in the help guide board, and get opinions about your forum and suggestions on improvements in the Get Opinions About Your Forum section.
Good luck!
Kami Thank you! Not only was your post VERY helpful, answering all of my concerns, but it served to answer questions that have long troubled me for almost a year. You're a great person!

DAY 443- FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2022 --
I have made many changes to this site. I have brought back the Nonmember community and history sections, added a philosophy section, opened games and fun board to nonmembers, reopened video sharing to nonmembers, and made lots and lots of posts in the last eight months. So far, although there has been little activity on this site, I have been getting it ready for when the great influx of members and nonmembers alike comes. I encourage you to share what you can of your Diaries and Journals on this site, for it is good for everyone to keep a record and if there's something you don't wish to share with the world, don't share it. There are many lessons you can teach by the wisdoms you have gained through your life's experience. I am hoping to get some more website Administrators soon, and to be able to advertise sometime. I encourage you to not be afraid to share your views and opinions regarding Star Wars or anything within reason. I encourage you to share your artwork, or favorite videos and music with this site. Ciou.

DAY 469
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER NINETEENTH AD 2022
I have been doing some remodeling and renovating of my Mara/Luke4ever Website...I made some changes to the Introduction and Welcome Thread, and at the end added a much-needed line to it. I added some more FAQ's, some Non-Member fanfic sub-boards to the Non-Member fanfic board and edited my sitemap.... I edited the sitemap a whole lot more; it's not perfect but it'll do for now.
10:22:26 AM CDT I changed and edited my copyright, plagiarism and spoiler policy.

DAY 484- 11/03/2022 AD
With God's help (and he helped me the last time too, and many times before that, in fact I never did it completely on my own for I acknowledge His Hand in all things), I rearranged the first few and a few of my other boards on this site in the most Logical order. I hope you enjoy this site, for it will only get better and better with time.
I also started a list of Canon and Legends material on a separate board on this site yesterday or the day before. I believe God gave me that idea.

I just got help from ProBoards Support from a question that someone else asked on how to make your top banner not repeat as mine did. So I was able to fix it. Praise God!

Day 594- 02/21/2023 Tuesday
Welcoming our four newest members huhz09, jedimara23, jedireader2003, and tunys.
I have made two additional websites to this one, linked below and above the main page.
I have started posting my 82'nd Journal here.
Here at Maraandlukeforever we encourage creativity, and I feel that the Legends should continue to be written and that sometimes fans can and do influence the Canon. So dare to dream!
The reason I keep religious things on this website is because I feel Christianity is part and parcel of Force Realism, so it is not extra, but integrated into this site in some parts, but any atheist can safely choose to ignore those parts, and all faiths or non faiths are welcome here on the boards.
